Hello and welcome Spirit Friends! Happy August, wow— how is this summer getting close to being over? I am swamped here so just a quick little post today… Recently, the woman who had facilitated our book club on “Women Who Run with Wolves” decided to finally move back to Florida where she had lived years before. A few of her kids and grandkids live there so she will be taken care of quite well.  A major stroke almost ended her life last year so we are all so grateful she has bounced back into her old self once again. Several months back, I had actually decided prior to knowing she was moving that I would be done with this book club. I LOVE the book and have read it twice but this was my second go around with it as a group and wasn’t into exploring as much anymore. I had no idea at the time she would be leaving our Harmonic Journeys but my mind was made up. They offer so many other things that I had done but felt like it was time to keep moving ahead to more.

Moon ceremonies, Lomi-Lomi, ( like group Reiki) meditation, psychic development, working with crystals, essential oils, yoga, and other great stuff does this group present along with a Holistic Fair every couple months or so. Pam has also been doing Tai-Chi for around 40 years and I participated twice! I know she’ll continue that in FL too (:  I have loved this book club for 4 years but was ok moving on. Hard to believe I have known Pam for over 4 years now…. I had heard she was moving and got so sad. Very happy though to know she still has friends in Florida who will keep her busy as she needs the warmth of the sun more. Guess she’s heading back up here next February as her second great-grandchild is coming! We had a fun last class with her and a small party afterwards. It seemed to be hummus and wine as the favorites! We took a selfie and then all had a group photo(: It GOT to me though as she left us with a song: “Sing A Song” from Sesame Street which I grew up watching. I knew all the words and sang along with her while remembering my youth. Yes, “The Carpenters” did record that song later on as well but my memories are the Muppets!

She will be greatly missed as I know she regards me as one of her own kids- which are 5. This lady has had a remarkable life and is irreplaceable. They are continuing the book with new leaders but I won’t be joining in this time around. Like I said, it isn’t just because my Spiritual Earth Mother has left but I know my time doing that has shifted. I can get the book out any time I want and have kept her last few notes she copied. She has been that mother figure I so desperately craved for this beautiful time in my life and I still picture meeting her. She made me cry for other reasons that night when she mentioned bringing my book along with her and how “all is well.” I needed that group and they needed me. It was such a blessing to get to know so many beautiful women along this journey which infused my feminine energy, I needed that too.

That night after being asleep several hours, I was awakened as usual around my 3:00 A.M. time. It’s mostly for the bathroom but this time I paused before heading in. All of a sudden, sobs came as I recalled hearing that Sesame Street song in my head right before waking. I thought of Pam and was so struck by emotion, I couldn’t believe it. I hadn’t cried similar tears like that in 8 years after Warrior passed. He’s the subject of my book and of my other blog for those newbies out there….. Of course,  this wasn’t the same thing but wow…. I had no idea it would affect me so much in that way. Either she truly made such an impact on me spiritually or we have a connection someway, somehow….  Another connector is she had told us how 30 years ago she started the book discussion at a local college and over the years had given many presentations on it. What a remarkable time! Warrior was inducted as part of WWE’s HOF  WrestleMania XXX ( 30) weekend so Pam’s 30 made me think of him…  don’t really know but it was there staring me in the face surrounded by darkness in those wee hours of the morning. My husband usually sleeps on the couch with the dog as it is more comfortable so I was alone in my bed thinking of Pam and all we have shared together over the years. I still have the paper butterflies she gave us and they are hung up over my living room arch for me to see everyday. One story in the book is about a butterfly woman flying free and staying true to herself so that is exactly what I will do. Pam is and I wish that for anyone reading today. Am sure you all have someone that truly connects to your life purpose or perhaps you have several that have made a difference to you. Maybe they have passed or are still with us but you just know it from the start… We all go thru so many stages of this great life and need different people along the path. Then, it hits us in ways we could not even imagine. They touch our hearts for such a brief time but the impact is felt a million times over.

Maybe we will see them again but maybe we won’t. Let’s take what they taught us and USE it to our advantage. We just might be the one someone else looks to someday as that teacher. We pave the way for others to shine as this cycle never ends. Be the light and pass it on. I will forever remember Pam in many ways as I hope she comes to visit. So many lessons he taught me as now I need to be the one teaching others however that may look.  I will sing my song and sing it LOUD…. Oh, another song that came to me in the middle of the night was” Thanks for the Memories.” I believe Bob Hope sang that on his shows. How fitting, her generation… The lyrics don’t match up at all but here’s the last part that does:
