This post was inspired by a recent blog I read by the late Dr. Wayne Dyer. Wayne was one of the great spiritual teachers of our time and I took a little of his teachings into my own. If we work on changing how we think about things, the things will change. You can apply this to anything really. Let’s say you think often negatively about a co-worker. This will remain unless you change your mindset. It is extremely difficult but having the intent to try counts just as much. Despite your dislike, switch around your thoughts by trying to notice something positive about them. They may never change but you can: .http://www.drwaynedyer.com
I thought of some words that might help you along. It’s quite simple really. We try to be loving but always remember you are loved. We try to be appreciative of others but always know you are appreciated. You can be enduring but always know you have endured. Even if others in your life may not respond the way you’d like, your Creator of Divine consciousness will.
Stop beating yourself up for not being “perfect” in so many areas of your life. Your soul knows you’re not but knows too how you are doing the best you can. By just easily moving some little letters around, your mind is allowing a new perspective in. You’ll fight it for sure but we all know how important this has to be.
I know for me– certain people are my triggers. Some people have places or things but I have people. Am sure we all do but you’ll know the main points that trigger you. Sometimes we may see others often but then the opposite is also true. Whatever your situation, just remain positive and change those words. I’m always learning how to get better at this too. It’s O.K. to not like someone, you don’t have to. Your mind makes all the difference with how you respond. You can be respecting but always get respected too. Whatever word system works for you, try it out with a person or maybe even a place of difficult feelings.
Wayne Dyer was filled with so much of this great wisdom and I have received his monthly blogs thru Hay House. Despite his passing a few years back, you can find many resources that will impact your mind just like they have for me. There are many other wonderful teachers as well such as Louise Hay herself whose legacy also lives on and one of my mentors– Gabby Bernstein.
Once you try some repetitive patterns with this way of thinking, it will make a difference and your old ways will be replaced with new. The Divine Light in you will always acknowledge your efforts if they are guided by true intention. Be consistent with any practice and little by little, you will feel a huge shift. You will be healing your soul in order to grow despite what others are doing. Change that mindset and your mind will change. It will receive new information and be re-programmed in a much better way. Everything new can be scary but that’s exactly what we need sometimes in order to evolve.
If you don’t want to change, that’s fine. Your life will be the same. But, if you feel stuck and always in negative patterns, hopefully you realize what needs to change. Start small as always and focus on one area at a time until you are ready to expand more to bigger challenges. We can train our mind to learn new things all the time. We just forget that it doesn’t always mean physical lessons. Mental ones count just as much if not more!
Give these exercises a try and see how they work in your life. Believe that you can and you will. Take a page from one of Wayne Dyer’s books, blogs, workshops, or anything else and you’ll receive inspiration or at least I hope you do. You’ll get spiritual wisdom that you can apply to everyday situations in your life. The mind is a wonderful tool, use it to better your life. I’ll leave you with a profound quote from Wayne to think about:
“The state of your life is nothing more than a reflection of your state of mind.”
