Hey there spirit friends and welcome to today’s post… As always I thank you for being here and hope you are doing well. Do you have regrets about decisions or actions you have taken? I bet a little part of you does in some way or another. We don’t want to but then look back and think that maybe, yeah we do… Today, I am sharing with you the reasons we SHOULD NOT have those regrets and how to change them instead. I have often heard from experienced mediums and even have read books that the deceased take their regrets with them after passing. Oh boy, we really don’t want this, do we? Am sure there will be a huge list of things in our lives worth regretting but it’s owning them and changing our thoughts around them.
Never regret anything. Nothing at all. Ya know why? Because in that moment of time in your life, it was exactly what you needed to do. Later on, it might not make any sense but in that specific instant, it did. Maybe you regret talking to that cute guy or girl and they turned you down. Maybe you regret taking that job for the money when you aren’t really getting ahead. Maybe you regret drinking too much last night because of the huge hangover you have today. Those are all things that will stay with you and you’ll never forgot the possible consequences ever. Let’s put a different spin on all this. Remember that it’s not the WHAT but the WHY and HOW. Don’t regret what you did but maybe why you did it or how you did it. One example above could be talking to that cute person. Don’t regret talking to them because that’s how you felt in the moment. Instead, the regret can be how you talked to them. You started a conversation but perhaps you said a statement wrong or came on too strong at first. Sometimes, we can go back and fix something but maybe not. If it isn’t meant to be, it’s not for you. That person may give you another chance or you apologize and begin again. You might just move on entirely but it’s all a learning experience and that’s what we need to remember. Next time, you’ll know better and will do better.
I’ll use myself for another example here. I do not regret writing and then publishing my book— ever. I look back and realize there were mistakes made but I own them. Would I do it differently if there is a next time? YES, for sure. Did I buy too many books? Yep but it remains the same with no regrets becoming a published author. Is it in me to eventually become the kind of author my cousin is? No,and it never was for me anyway. These are the things we CAN regret: how you say something, how you do something, how you respond to something or someone, or anything similar. It’s your emotions that guide you in that moment but the head needs to have its part as well and some of us empaths forget that. The actions are the WHATS and the responses and reactions are the WHYS and HOWS. I hope this makes sense to you. Bronnie Ware wrote a book on regrets of the dying and they all begin like this: “I wish I had…” I can’t tell you how to live your life but just live without those regrets that will weigh you down now and also in the afterlife. Live you best life in the way that works for you.
Our timing can be off but then something changes and it’s back on again. Can you think of anything in your life like that? You may not be fully ready for an opportunity just yet so it slips away. The opposite can also happen. Let’s say you want something really bad and you’re meditating on it, praying, manifesting, or whatever it is that serves you. After a while and all your inner work, it still just doesn’t work out. You were doing all the right things with the Universe and even being patient with time but then still– nothing. Should you regret all those right actions. NO! Yes, it’s confusing and we don’t have all the answers even after doing this all the right ways. We think we are ready but the Universe derails our plans. That has happened to me for sure and yes, there’s a post on that too… We always need to just surrender and trust that the Divine has better plans for us unknown at the time. Release all the expectations or outcomes. It is HARD, especially when we have our mind and heart set on something so bad and it just never seems to happen. Am sure you can relate friends…. There are those who never give up despite many obstacles in their way and they do succeed in what they wanted all along. It’s all your free will but again it’s feeling GOOD first that matters most. We can abandon an idea altogether too if we have exhausted all our options. Some things shouldn’t be as hard as we make them but then again, some people thrive on that. It’s all your perspective in how you decide.
You can keep your eye on the prize with no regrets with how you get there. Just always feel good about what you are doing without all the panic associated with it. If you could truly say that you have no regrets thus far in your life, could you? I must admit, I used to think differently but now I know better. I truly understand without a doubt that everything I have ever done brought me to the now and this present moment. My entire life, all of it. Experiences give you knowledge and that is power spirit friends. Sure, we’re human so regrets seem to be part of our nature but just look at them as life lessons that are teachable moments. We do need to make big decisions throughout our entire lives and some may leave us feeling depleted or even financially insecure. Some may never bounce back to where they once were. That’s when we need that inner strength to change our course of direction. It can be an enormous uphill battle for some but in the end, can you truly say it was worth it? That’s for you to answer but always know the Universe is with you for your highest good even though the ego thinks differently.
Try looking back at your life and deciding if you can truly live or try to live without regrets from now on. Remember, it’s not the action itself but how you respond to it that matters. If you can really implement this new way of thinking, you won’t bring those regrets with you to the Afterlife. I am getting better at this too so let’s guide each other along so we won’t get to our place someday and say: “I wish I had…. ( fill in the blank of your life.) ” Do your life now and get rid of any regrets weighing you down. Believe that the Universe is supporting you just like I am!
