I firmly believe meditation has enormous benefits that can greatly impact your life in so many ways. Without a doubt, I know this has happened for me and continues to be true. You can find my tips about meditation on my youtube video and I also did a post on www.mywarriorwritings.com called “Meditation=Warrior’s Energy.” You can research many different ways to calm or connect to the Universe that will work for you. Prayer, nature, music, sitting comfortably, breathing exercises, and so on can all work together to deepen your trust. I will share with you my daily routine that I practice everyday and it only takes ten minutes! Sometimes, I try to sit longer and I do use the CALM app with a timer but any method can be done if you give it time and patience. A few tips before I share would be to focus really hard with it becoming a regular part of your life at around the same time everyday if you can. This strengthens your connection and your “team” will know that is your time together. It doesn’t have to be in the same place although that is helpful for your consistency. Visualizations work well but if you aren’t into that, no biggie… Sometimes, it can become very overwhelming and shouldn’t be hard so if that happens to you, relax and start with small techniques. I usually feel a slight tingling sensation in my forehead which means my third-eye center is responding. Ask for a sign, yours will come with time. Now, onto my meditation which I use music since without it—my monkey-mind goes bananas!!!
MEDITATION
~~~ sit upright in a place where you won’t be disturbed and relax comfortably with eyes closed or slightly open.
~~~ place your hands with palms together at your heart or sit with palms outstretched at your side.
~~~ take a few, slow, deep breaths in and out to get grounded and settle in to your space.
~~~ Invite the Universe (God, Angels, Spirits, etc.) to be with you in your time right now.
~~~ Set an intention like this: ” Please continue to work with me in this life of mine for my highest good. ”
~~~~ Take a few breaths after you send your thoughts on their way continuing to breathe throughout your practice. Breathe in the good energy and out the bad.
~~~ Ask for protection against all negativity: ” Protect, defend, support, and guide me, keep me surrounded with your white light of goodness, truth, beauty, and love.” ( I try to visualize a white bubble protecting me but sometimes I literally think of when Glinda the Good Witch appears in “The Wizard of Oz.”) It really does help believe it or not!!!
~~~ Ask to be aligned with prosperity, abundance, joy, happiness, and fulfillment. Focus on being positive and optimistic. I ask for resilience, endurance, and perseverance. Be strong, courageous, and have confidence within yourself.
~~~ Ask to be guided in body, mind, and spirit. Offer your thoughts, words, actions, and all that you are today over to the Universe. Surrender and let it all go….
~~~ Use mantras such as: “Increase my faith, increase my hope, increase my trust, and increase my love. Give me peace of mind on (state your own intention here) and give me patience with (state your own intention here.”) These can be different every day or use the same ones for a week.
~~~ Help me make the best decisions for myself and my family that are for my highest good.
~~~ I respect this journey and trust this process guiding me in life.
~~~ I thank God for my life, health, safety and wellness and ask the same for my family. Can mention specific needs or desires regarding pets, extended family concerns, others, worldly prayers, etc.
~~~ I ask for forgiveness so I can heal and work towards acceptance for others with compassion and no judgment.
~~~ Use your senses to guide you both psychically and intuitively so that you may see, hear, think, feel, and know what is right for you. Be mindful of your surroundings and stay present in the moment.
~~~ Ask to be rid of all doubt, uncertainty, fear based thoughts, limiting beliefs, anxiety, stress, tension, negative and pessimistic attitudes, senseless drama, jealousy, competition, anger, resentfulness, and anything blocking you from receiving love. Ask to deal with frustration and disappointments the best way you can.
~~~ Only allow positive vibes, thoughts, and energy to flow through you.
~~~ You can add some prayers if you wish. I say the Angel of God prayer, the Serenity prayer, and a few others at times.
~~~Always thank the Universe for responding and listening to you.
~~~ You can send healing thoughts to body parts and breathe or feel any sensations present.
~~~ You can sit in silence and stillness as long as it feels right for you.
~~~ If you have used a timer, app, music, or something else,~~~ finish your meditation and open your eyes.
Try to notice if you feel any different than when you first started your practice. With time and patience—again those are key to your development— the benefits will come. You might notice something right away or it might take a while. Your mind will wander and that is NORMAL. Go back to your intention and clear your thoughts to begin again. I first started with just thinking of things I enjoy doing or listing nature items in my head. That was easy for me but it could be a challenge for others. Sometimes, there also will be distractions you can’t avoid but try your best. If that time isn’t working you can just end and try again later.

As long as you are making the effort and putting in the time to help yourself, that is all that matters.
